This Is How I’ve Made My Days More Intentional

Maybe it’ll help you too.

I didn’t set out to create a method. I just wanted a better day — and I wanted that again tomorrow.

Like most people, I’ve spent years juggling. Work. Home. Ideas. Demands. I’d write endless to-do lists, chase productivity tools, try to stay on top of everything… and still feel behind.

So I tried something else.

I started writing down no more than eight things each day. Just the things that mattered — not everything I could do, just what I’d be glad to have done. Work things. Life things. Small, clear actions.

No app. No pressure. Just a notebook and a pencil.

That small habit changed more than I expected.

It forced me to choose.
It helped me notice what I’d usually ignore.
It gave structure to the messier days — and calm to the louder ones.
It reminded me that doing a few things that matter is better than doing everything forgettable.

Over time, it turned into what I now call Eightly — a name, a method, and a quiet practice I return to every day. It’s not a life system. It’s just a habit I can hold in my hand.

Eight is the limit.
That’s the rule. And weirdly, the relief.

So if you’re looking for something simpler — not another system, just a way to come back to yourself each day — this might help. Or maybe it won’t. But it helps me. And maybe that’s enough.

I’ve made a starter kit if you’re curious.
No promises. No pressure.
Just eight things. And a better day.
